IMU CET Eligibility 2026: Age Limit, Qualification, and Medical Standards

Before applying for the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) 2026, candidates must carefully check the eligibility criteria. Only students who meet the requirements of age, academic qualification, and medical fitness can apply for UG, PG, and diploma maritime courses.

Many aspirants from Kerala prefer to begin their preparation with Radiant Study Centre, Palarivattom, Kochi — the leading IMU CET coaching centre in Kerala. Radiant not only prepares students academically but also provides guidance on eligibility, documentation, and medical fitness standards required for Merchant Navy courses.

Here’s the complete breakdown of IMU CET 2026 eligibility.

Age Limit for IMU CET 2026 (UG Programs)

  • Candidates must be minimum 17 years on or before 1st July 2026.
  • Upper age limit: 25 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates).

Note: Keep valid age proof documents ready — such as birth certificate or 10th marksheet — for verification at the time of admission.

  • Must have passed 10+2 (Class XII) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM subjects.

  • Relaxation: SC/ST candidates require 50% aggregate in PCM.

Note: Students awaiting their Class 12 results can also apply. However, final admission will depend on meeting the eligibility criteria during counseling.

At Radiant Study Centre, faculty guide students on how to balance Class 12 boards and IMU CET preparation to meet both academic and entrance exam requirements.

Medical Standards for IMU CET 2026
